On September 11th, Cunningham Public Library (CPL) hosted a Community Conversation with special guest Jeremy Hill, director of the WSU Center for Economic Development and Business Research (CEDBR).

Our goal was to learn what services the library can provide to help enhance and support the economic growth and vitality of our community.

This online event was made possible by a national grant from the American Library Association (ALA), Libraries Transforming Communities: Focus on Small and Rural Libraries.  The purpose of the grant was to help our library engage with our community on important topics.  Our topic on this evening was economic development.

We recorded the event to use as a resource and to share it here with those who were unable to attend the live Zoom event. Hill’s interactive presentation is data-rich and designed to help us as a community prioritize a strategy for growth. We hope that you find this information interesting and useful.

Special thanks to the ALA, to CPL Board of Directors, and especially to South Central Kansas Library System for their technical help and support.
