January is a time of newness. New year, new goals, new habits, new hobbies. The library is here to help you with your goals. There are non-fiction books on many hobby topics, and classes galore for your learning pleasure!
Kicking us off is Joyce Depenbusch with her knitting class.Monday, January 12th at 5pm. Come to learn, get help on a project you have started, or just be around others while sharing the space and time. Let the library know your skill level or interest level to make sure Joyce has enough supplies to help you.
Next you will have the opportunity to learn cross stitching with me! All ages welcome. Saturday, January 17that 9:30am. We will be using yarn kits to be the most user friendly introduction. If you love it, up your game with the traditional string methods. These skills will also translate easily to diamond art.
Eileen Crick will teach us how to sew on buttons Saturday, January 24th at 10 am. You won’t want to miss that! There will also be a basic sewing repairs class coming soon.
On Monday, January 26th at 6pm bring your Christmas pictures. Debbie Mills and Deana Bolen will be leading a scrapbooking class.
January 31st at 10 am Casey Renner will be running a houseplant rehab. Come let her diagnose your struggling houseplant, teach you how to care for it best, or get a new plant if yours has bitten the dust. We have a lot of gardening books on hand too to help you plan your summer garden.
Wednesday,January 28th is National Library Shelfie Day. No cool graphic for this, but come in and take a picture with your favorite part of the library! Just because it would be wrong not to celebrate.
